OverviewJohn Sisk & Son are looking for a Document Controller to join our York Central project. This position will be based in York and is part of our Sisk Infrastructure Business Unit.The Document Controller will manage the Project Document Management system and digital field tool, implementing information management strategy and providing training and support to the project teams and end users.John Sisk & Son have been building excellence as a family-owned international construction company by offering trust, certainty and value to our clients whilst being at the heart of change.ResponsibilitiesManage and host Dalux training sessions for new users within the project team, either with groups or on an individual basisAct as main point of contact for support and coaching of project users of Dalux, including third parties such as client teams, designers, subcontractorsDevelopment of project file naming protocols with information systems manager and project team, in line with DPD protocolsDevelop workflows alongside ISM, and manage throughout project lifecycle, with direction from the project team, in line with DPD proceduresCreation of forms, tasks, etc on DFT (FV) in line with DPD procedures and site requirementsConfiguration and implementation of change control processes within the CDEValidation, checking and curating of all incoming and outgoing project documentation to the CDE including receipt, classification, verification, registry, distribution, and retrievalConfiguration and preparation of status reports on workflows, sample submissions, TQs, RFIs and other reportable dataPreparation and configuration of distribution matrices in compliance with project requirementsEstablishment and maintenance of central site files, uncontrolled drawings, and registersCollation of operation and maintenance, health and safety, quality, environmental, BCAR filesAttend meetings to allow engagement of team and stakeholdersExperienceExperience of working on projects with large volumes of data and information from various sourcesAdvanced experience of a CDE and DFTExperience using Dalux systemAbility to effectively communicate with, and educate all stakeholders in the DPD protocols, ensuring the protocols are strictly adhered toExperience of dealing with multidisciplinary design teams and client teamsExperience of dealing with sub-contractors and the wider supply chainComprehension of naming conventions to ISO 19650Experience on projects over £30,000QualificationsAdvanced user of Microsoft Office suiteUnderstanding of BS 1192 and PAS 1192, or ISO 19650Advanced user of Dalux, or similar platformsAdditional InformationCompetitive salary26 days annual leave plus additional company daysPension and benefitsUnlimited learning and development opportunitiesMuch moreOur People and Recruitment CommitmentAt Sisk Group our people are at the heart of our success.
