Job Title: Team Leader/Administrator Location: Hutchinson At Home The Team Leader/Administrator role within the Hutchinson at Home Service is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated carer to take the next step to support the Homecare Service Manager, in leading a team of high quality carers to deliver exceptional care to our clients in the community. This role will involve being part of a weekly rota in delivering care to our clients as required by the business as well as carrying out a supervisory, quality assurance, training and administrative role to support the continuous development of the team and the service. Not all duties will be weighted equally each week and will be dependent on the needs of the business. It is understandable that this role will excite experienced carers who may not possess the full skills in the Administrative part of the role. Full induction/training and support will be given to the successful individual who can demonstrate the necessary competency, skills and passion to continue learning and developing in this area. Responsibilities Ensure Hutchinson Care Homes values: Caring, Integrity, Diversity & Inclusion, Safety & Well-being, Community Partnerships are underpinned in all areas of the service. Adhere to all legal, statutory and Hutchinson Care Homes specific standards at all times. Ensure focus and direction is given to our team of carers to providing exceptional care to our clients. Support the Home Service Manager with the implementation of the business objectives. Deliver exceptional care to clients in a person-centred way when required as part of the rota giving consideration to individual care plans and personal needs, which includes but is not limited to: Washing, bathing, washing hair, shaving, dressing, undressing and toileting, making meals, drinks or light refreshments, repositioning, offering company and social interaction – a caring smile. Act as champion and ambassador for the Home Care Service at all times as well as the Hutchinson Home Group, promoting our services and representing the Company stance at all times. Provide direction to staff, offering advice, support and quality assurance, giving input to induction, training, moving and handling, health and safety, first aid, recruitment and selection and performance management. Support the Service Manager in compiling rotas and encouraging flexibility to accommodate the business needs when required. Lead by example, ensuring to role model the highest standards of care and professionalism at all times. Process payroll for the team, calculate mileage and carry out a general administrative role as required including but not limited to note taking in meetings and completing reports for SMT. Support the Service Manage with the maintenance and upkeep of the company cars. Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to participate in the ‘on call service’ as part of an agreed rota. Work with the Service Manager in the continuous review and development of policies, procedures and systems as required. Work with Service Manager in carrying out a quality assurance role, participating in shadowing client calls, uniform inspections, audits, liaising with clients and their families contributing to outcomes, feedback and action plans for further improvement. Support the Homecare Service Manager in ensuring exceptional levels of health and safety in every aspect of the role. Maintain links within the wider Hutchinson Group and enhance relationships with other aspects of the service provided. Work with the Homecare Service Manager to ensure efficient recording and reporting processes and systems are in place to enable the effective management of all aspects of the business and ensure the team adhere to the standards required at all times. Support the team to ensure open and transparent lines of communication with clients and family members maintaining a professional demeanour at all times, managing disgruntled clients or formal complaints in an appropriate manner. Ensure integrity, accuracy and attention to detail of information in all areas of administration and reporting. Participate in supervision, training, appraisals, coaching and supporting staff as required with the aim of ensuring Hutchinson Care Homes standards and values are maintained whilst empowering all staff to realise their full potential. Encourage individuals and teams to find their own solutions and to take responsibility for their work. Proactively maintain knowledge and practice of all statutory procedures. Lead by example demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and development. Take on day to operational management of the team in the absence of the Homecare Service Manager. Establish effective relationships with key external stakeholders, including but not limited to Social Workers, GPS, RQIA, Care Managers. Uphold the highest ethical standards, observe confidentiality, exercise discretion and maintain the ethos of the company. Other responsibilities Undertake any other duties that may be required within the business. Required Criteria Has right to work in UK and can provide supporting documentation. Hold a Level 3 NVQ in health and social care or a commitment to completing this within 12 months of commencement. Have experience motivating others to get the best from them to achieve positive results. Is competent in the use of full MS Office suite. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (with an emphasis on grammar and professionalism and written and spoken English). Experience in delivering exceptional standards of care in a health care setting. Experience in dealing with challenges and difficult situations in a calm, professional manner. Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships and behave in a professional manner. Proven experience in dealing with change in the workplace in a positive and constructive manner. Proven experience in working independently as well as with a team. A full clean driving licence and access to a car. Desired Criteria Proven leadership experience leading a team to achieve agreed objectives.
