Mallusk is a 24 hour Supported Livings scheme, currently housing 5 residents (male and female) with complex needs associated with learning disabilities. We provide specialist, person-centred support to assist the people we care for to build confidence, develop independence, and thrive in a supportive environment. What Makes Mallusk Special? Mallusk is a dynamic, fast-paced service that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and trauma backgrounds. Every day brings opportunities to make a real difference, whether it's helping a service user gain confidence shopping independently, attend a concert for the first time, or build friendships within the service. Here, staff work together to encourage independence and self-growth through engaging activities, structured routines, and trauma-informed care. Some of the key activities and initiatives that make our service unique include: Supporting those we care for in building friendships and social networks.Recreational & therapeutic activities - book club, fitness classes, cycling. We are currently undertaking planning the build of an allotment and sensory area.Social & leisure activities - hot chocolate nights, movie nights, discos, and cinema tripsHelping individuals build life skills, from managing money to personal care What Does the Role Involve? As a Day Shift Team Leader, you will: Provide specialist support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and trauma backgroundsUse the Positive Behaviour Support model to assess and respond to non-verbal communication and mood changesAssist the people we care for with daily living, personal care, and medication managementEncourage the people we care for to participate in activities and social outingsDrive the scheme vehicle to facilitate appointments and community participationWork collaboratively with a team of 11 per shift, including Support Staff, Deputy Managers, and the Area Manager Who We're Looking For We are looking for individuals who are: Person-centred, compassionate, and adaptableAble to work in a fast-changing environmentBubbly and engaging, with a real passion for supporting othersResilient and dedicated to learning and developing in the field of care Why Join Us?
