Contract: Permanent Hours: 35.00 hours per week (Term Time only) Salary: NJC Grade E SCP12-17 £28,598 - £31,022 per annum, pro rata Closing Date: 9th December 2025 (8.00am) Stanley Primary School is looking to appoint a committed, hard-working Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm. The successful candidate will complement teachers’ delivery of the national curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, students and school policies and strategies. They will work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers throughout the planning cycle, management/preparation of resources, and will also supervise whole classes for cover purposes and short‑term absence of teachers. The successful candidate will provide support for students, the teacher and the school to raise standards of achievement for all, utilising advanced knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes, encouraging students to become independent learners, supporting their welfare and inclusion in all aspects of school life. Key Skills and Experience Have lots of energy while being flexible, adaptable and able to use your own initiative. Demonstrate good organisational skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with children, parents, staff and the wider community. Demonstrate a wide knowledge and application of behavioural strategies, clearly showing how these can be implemented effectively to meet individual children's needs. Plan, prepare and deliver learning to individuals, groups and/or classes, modifying and adapting activities as necessary. Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment. The post holder will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance. The role also includes a 30‑minute lunch duty and a 30‑minute lunch break each day.
