The Elective Home Education (EHE) team in Blackpool seeks an experienced family support worker to work with families and individuals on the EHE register. The selected professional will: Support families in returning their children to mainstream schools and challenge unsuitable educational provision. Lead the school attendance process and prepare case notes and statements for use in court where appropriate. Maintain excellent communication skills and direct engagement with families. Essential Criteria Experience working with families in an education or support setting. Substantial knowledge of school attendance policy and legal processes. Strong communication and case documentation skills. Safeguarding awareness and commitment to child and vulnerable adult welfare. Completed DBS check, reference history, right to work evidence, and medical clearance. Desirable Criteria Previous experience in a local authority education role. Qualifications in education/child welfare or related fields. Demonstrated ability to handle court‑related case work.
