Head of Controlling & Reporting Mercedes-Benz Vans provides world-class vans and services to customers across the UK. We keep the wheels turning for our people and businesses, driving opportunity and inspiring ideas with everything we do. We’re ambitious, future-focused and committed to shaping the future of electric mobility with digital solutions that deliver best-in-class customer experience. Our passionate team is focused on championing inclusivity, respect and equal opportunities for all, because our backgrounds, beliefs, values and culture shape who we are, what we do and how we do it. From our fantastic colleagues to our trusted Dealer network – everyone who works for us, and with us, is helping to impact the future of transportation. It’s an exciting time to be part of the team, so what are you waiting for? How You’ll Play Your Part We’re looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking leader, with a proven track record of steering business performance at both strategic and operational levels, driving transparency, accountability, and delivering measurable impact on P&L outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in steering the financial performance of Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, acting as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, CFO and the senior leadership team, ensuring data-driven decision-making and financial transparency across all business functions. You’ll combine sharp strategic insight with hands‑on operational excellence, turning complex financial data into clear, actionable guidance that drives the business forward. What You’ll Do Act as a key financial partner to the MD, CFO, and UK Board, shaping strategy, defining the UK financial and controlling framework in line with global standards, and leading the evaluation of major strategic initiatives across pricing, network development, digitalisation, and electrification. Lead end-to-end performance management, driving planning, forecasting, governance, KPI setting, and profitability analysis to ensure clarity, and delivery of financial targets. Own planning and forecasting, driving annual plans, cost control, investment appraisal, and scenario modelling to enable agile, informed decision‑making. Lead and develop a high-performing Controlling team, drive cross‑functional collaboration across UK and global finance, represent the Vans UK finance function in key steering forums, and uphold the highest standards of governance and integrity. At Mercedes-Benz, we operate with integrity and therefore you are required to maintain ethical standards in accordance with our polices and adhere to the Company's Compliance Guidelines and Policies including Anti‑Bribery and all relevant competition law. What You’ll Bring A strategic, commercially minded thinker who is resilient, adaptable, and energised by complexity, ambiguity, and transformation. Senior‑level experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance leadership within a complex, matrixed environment, ideally in the automotive or premium‑brand space. Exceptional stakeholder and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge thinking and build alignment across teams and senior leaders. Strong mastery of financial systems, controlling frameworks, and data analytics, with a passion for turning insight into action. What’s In It For You As well as the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with a great team and culture, we’ll offer you a competitive salary and discretionary bonus structure. We also hope you’ll love our products as much as we do, with access to our colleague car schemes. On top of that, you’ll be able to join our pension scheme and you’ll get a flexible benefit pot that can be used to find the benefits that are right for you. We are pleased to be able to offer a hybrid working approach – achieving a great balance between remote and office working. We’re here to support you – we offer access to colleague wellbeing resources, including an Employee Assistance Programme and Mental health First Aiders, as well as flexible opportunities to support work life balance. We’ll also encourage your development, with the training and knowledge you need to reach your potential. Who We Are Through the doors of Mercedes-Benz Vans, you’ll find a passionate team working to innovate and deliver top‑tier commercial vehicles that drive business success. We know that to keep this team motivated, we need to ensure that everyone has equal opportunity. We celebrate a culture of appreciation and respect, where everyone is valued for who they are. We believe our backgrounds, experiences and cultures contribute to our shared experience and shape who we are and what we do. The diversity of our colleagues reflects the diversity of our customers. This diversity is the driving force behind our ideas. What’s next?
