What You Will Do

  • Deliver high standards of mental health nursing care in accordance with trust policies and procedures.
  • Support individuals experiencing mental health conditions, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being.
  • Administer medication, monitor effects, and provide accurate documentation.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, therapists, and social workers.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Respond effectively to mental health crises, providing compassionate and professional interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with NHS standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with valid NMC registration.
  • Experience working in mental health settings, preferably within the NHS.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to different clinical environments.
  • A compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in crisis intervention or acute mental health settings.
  • Training in de-escalation techniques and safeguarding.
