This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team of Consultant Orthodontists, orthodontic therapists, trainees, and academic colleagues. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality orthodontic care, education, and service development. Main duties of the job Provide consultant-led orthodontic care, including new patient assessments and treatment planning. Supervise and teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, including StRs and post-CCST trainees. Collaborate with colleagues across specialties including Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry. Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance and research initiatives. Will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative regional working with Consultant Orthodontists across Cheshire and Merseyside. Contribute to service development, clinical governance and CPD. Professional qualifications Membership in Orthodontics or Equivalent. Possession of a CCST in Orthodontics (or within 6 months of achievement) or Equivalent. Possession of the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in Orthodontics (before commencing post) or Equivalent. Other postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics or equivalent (e.g. MSc, Professional Doctorate). Clinical Experience in the multi-disciplinary management of orthodontic patients. Management Experience in the day-to-day clinical management of an Orthodontic service. Clinical leadership experience in Orthodontics. Research Ability to appraise scientific literature critically.
