Key Details Job title: Learner Support Officer Foundation (Teaching Assistant) Location: King's Lynn Hours: 30 hours per week / 36 weeks per year (term‑time plus up to 5 paid training days per annum) Salary: £16,933 – £17,073 per annum (term‑time post), equivalent to £25,176 – £25,385 FTE About the Role Provide essential support to foundation learners from pre‑entry to level 1, ensuring they succeed in their chosen course. The role involves working with learners who have educational health and care plans or recognised special educational needs in maths, English, independent‑living sessions, and more. No two days are the same. Responsibilities Deliver individual and group support to foundation learners. Assist learners with educational health and care plans or special educational needs. Support learning in maths and English and in sessions that develop independent‑living skills. Collaborate with teachers, tutors and support staff to promote learner progress. Document learner progress and maintain records in accordance with college policy. Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
