Job Summary Please note this position does not offer any home working. Here at Practice Plus Group, we have an excellent opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Advisor and build on your Nursing or Paramedic experience while continuing to deliver outstanding patient care without the physical demand of acute work. We offer competitive rates, equivalent to band 7 and band 8a. Typically, a Clinical Advisor could earn anywhere between £51,400 to £56,140 working full time equivalent of 37.5 hours per week. Main duties of the job You will speak with patients and provide them with telephone triage using the NHS Pathways systems. Use your clinical knowledge to make decisions on the most appropriate action and provide home care advice to callers. Support from software systems and your team ensures you can handle a wide variety of calls. Set shift patterns are fixed so you know when you will be working. You will benefit from coaching, mentoring and development plans to support your career aspirations. Training and Support Full‑Time training: Monday‑Friday (9:30am‑5pm) for 4 weeks. Part‑Time training: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (6pm‑9:30pm) and Saturday‑Sunday (9:30am‑5pm) for 6 weeks. You must attend every training day. After eight weeks of additional support you will be signed off to work independently. Qualifications and Experience UK Registered Nurse (NMC) or Paramedic (HCPC) with appropriate post‑registration acute Primary Care experience. Significant post‑registration training, 2 years of experience in adult acute or primary/community care, or triage/telephone advice experience. Strong understanding of patient management in primary or secondary care; clinical decision‑making and critical‑thinking skills. Excellent listening and communication skills, good IT and keyboard skills. Experience of working independently. A real passion for providing outstanding patient care and a commitment to continuous learning within a well‑structured, well‑supported team. Benefits Pay: £24.47 per hour (7am‑11pm), £27.83 per hour (11pm‑7am); additional £30.60 per hour for Friday 18:00 to Monday 7:00am. Training hours paid at £24.47 per hour. 25 days annual leave (increasing to 28 days with service) plus bank holidays. Guaranteed regular breaks.
