We are also a mission‑driven company, dedicated to “enabling transparent and impactful insurance” for all our partners. 🚀 About the Team The Wakam UK Operations team is responsible for maintaining regulatory readiness, operational excellence and resilience across all our systems and services. We ensure that our critical business operations are secure, scalable and compliant with evolving PRA and FCA expectations. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including our third‑party partners, to lead Wakam UK’s operational resilience agenda. Key responsibilities Framework Governance & Leadership: Own and evolve the full UK Operational Resilience framework (policies, methodologies, templates); chair the UK OpRes Working Group and manage governance; build cross‑functional alignment across departments and third‑party stakeholders. Regulatory Compliance & Communication: Ensure timely and accurate PRA/FCA communications, including breach declarations; maintain up‑to‑date filings and board‑ready reports; conduct annual IBS reviews and impact tolerance setting; monitor and document service performance; provide insights to executive leadership. Vulnerability Assessment & Resource Mapping: Lead annual resource mapping across all IBS‑related services; collaborate with third parties on vulnerability assessments and treatment plans; track remediation activities and keep criticality documentation current; design and execute scenario tests, leveraging best practices and third‑party collaboration; lead post‑incident reviews; drive annual self‑assessments and propose improvements for OR maturity; keep the knowledge base updated and represent Wakam in industry forums. 🧠 What You Bring 10 years of experience in operational risk, business continuity or operational resilience in UK insurance (mandatory) Strong command of PRA/FCA regulations relating to operational resilience Proven ability to manage cross‑functional governance and RACI frameworks Experience working with outsourcing arrangements and third‑party risk Strong project management and analytical skills Experience with vulnerability assessments, BCP, DR testing and reporting Analytical and detail‑oriented, with strong documentation and compliance focus Collaborative, proactive communicator who thrives in a cross‑functional role Resilient and adaptable under pressure, with excellent stakeholder engagement skills Strategic thinker with strong leadership presence and ethical standards Passionate about continuous improvement and staying ahead of regulatory expectations Interview Process Initial interview with Talent Acquisition Partner Technical interview with Head of Operations UK Team interview with the Operations Team Final interview in our London Office with Head of People UK & Head of Operations UK Apply Now Apply Now and Join the Insurance Revolution Let’s build resilient and impactful insurance together.
