Key Information Job Title: Family Programme Producer Band 2 Salary: £32,860.00 Contract: Permanent / Full Time / Plus Hybrid Location: London Transport Museum, 20 Cranbourn Street, London, WC2H 7AA Hybrid working: 50% office and 50% home over a 4‑week period Application closing date: Sunday 21st December 2025 @ 23:59 Interviews will take place in January 2026 Overview Of Role The Public Programmes and Events Team delivers a busy programme of events for adult, family and general audiences in Covent Garden, Acton and off‑site across the TfL network. A Family Programme Producer will support the development and delivery of a year‑round programme for a family audience, including families with children under 5 and families with children with special educational needs and disabled children. The post holder will embed best practice in museum education and give training and support to a team of freelancers and volunteers. Key Accountabilities Support the development of a Family Engagement Programme linking to the Museum’s collections, exhibitions and public events. Manage freelancers and volunteers to deliver the Family Programme as needed. Develop activities for families that link to the wider work of the Museum. Monitor and report on key KPIs, evaluating projects and programmes and celebrating the impact of the Family Engagement Programme. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and key stakeholders – particularly Marketing, Operations and Visitor Services. Deliver to planned budgets, working closely with Public Programmes and Events colleagues. Commission and liaise with freelance creatives to develop learning opportunities. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Effective interpersonal skills to engage and work with a range of stakeholders (Essential) Strong organisational skills: a proven ability to work on own initiative and in a team, to prioritise and manage own time and that of others to meet deadlines (Essential) Excellent communication skills (Essential) Demonstrable flexibility in approach to work; able to adjust plans as necessary to meet overall ambitions of the team and the Museum (Essential) Proven knowledge of learning in museums, and passionate about engagement and participation best practice (Essential) Knowledge of working with a range of learners, including those with learning difficulties (Desirable) Knowledge of developing and evaluating engagement projects and programmes (Essential) Knowledge of safeguarding basics (Essential) Computer literate with experience in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Essential) Good working knowledge of Transport for London’s services and the history of public transport in London or demonstrably prepared to acquire this (Desirable) Experience delivering programmes for an intergenerational family audience, including under 5s, teens and children and young people with additional needs (Essential) Demonstrable understanding of best practice in the sector for family engagement (Desirable) Experience of best practice of data collection (Desirable) Experience of successful working in diverse teams (Essential) Equality, diversity, and inclusion We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
