Personal Assistant for a happy bubbly boy Ref: NDS8580 Location: Chichester Details This role is to support a Child Drivers licence required. Employment status: Employed Hours per week: Term time: 4 hours per week outside school hours. School holiday: 8 hours per week, flexible. Hourly pay rate: £12.21 per hour. Mileage expenses @ 45p per mile About the child We’re looking for a kind, patient and easy-going person to spend time with our lovely 6-year-old son who has severe autism and is non-verbal. He’s a happy, bubbly soul with lots of love to give, and we’d love to find someone who can help him enjoy the world around him and come out of his shell. He loves the outdoors — walking in the woods, playing with leaves, visiting quiet play parks, blowing bubbles, and splashing at the beach in the summer. He also enjoys travelling on buses and exploring local places (having a car is a plus, but not essential). Duties Transportation Companionship Dressing/undressing Bathroom assistance Accessing social and leisure activities (e.g. walks, park, swimming, clubs, days out, cinema etc). The above duties will involve using your own car (if you have one)/public transport. Candidate qualities Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality Reliable with good timekeeping Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative Hygienic, tidy and well organised Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills Honest and cheerful Creative Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard Must be comfortable with pets Able to always work to high standards of health & safety Notes All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
