Job Title Family Assistant – Ukraine Support Team (Temporary Fixed-term Contract until March 2027) About the Role Provide holistic family and educational guidance to promote wellbeing and inclusion for families from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Work closely with schools, health providers, local authorities, and community organisations to help families settle and succeed in Norfolk. Responsibilities Visit families and complete Family Assessments and Plans. Support welfare visits and signpost families to universal and specialist services. Work with interpreters and communication tools to overcome language barriers. Build strong relationships with multi-agency partners and community networks. Ensure families maintain independence while respecting their culture and identity. Qualifications Relevant qualification (Degree or NVQ Level 4). At least two years experience working with children and families. Experience working with migrant communities and managing a caseload of vulnerable families. Ability to motivate and engage families, lead multi-agency meetings, and make sound decisions under pressure. Effective communication and cultural sensitivity.
