Product Data Manager
Product Data Manager Join to apply for the Product Data Manager role at Shanghai VIM Industrial Design Co., Ltd. If you have a solid understanding of the importance of correct and concise product data and its impact on customer purchasing decisions, this role matters. Role Overview We’re looking for a Product Data Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead the coordination side of our Product Data team. You’ll act as the conduit between commercial teams, tech, and other departments, ensuring smooth operations from onboarded product data to existing product data and beyond. This is not admin; it’s about enabling smarter decisions, smoother operations, and better customer experiences. Responsibilities Lead a team of Master Data Administrators to deliver high-quality product data. Manage day-to-day admin functions for BAU and project work – supporting product onboarding and transformation initiatives. Serve as the go-to person for product data across UK and Ireland, ensuring compliance and accuracy, while continuously improving processes for scalability to further territories. Collaborate with commercial teams, stakeholders, suppliers, compliance and regulatory teams to deliver clean, usable data. Support the Head of Master Data with strategic improvements and system enrichment. Own the resource roadmap and planning to meet SLAs and project deadlines. Maintain core product and financial hierarchies to ensure they are fit for purpose. Manage internal ticketing systems (≈300 tickets/week) and resolve queries rapidly and accurately. Drive process improvements and influence new ways of working across the team. Support large-scale transformation projects with centralized data cleansing and processing, employing a strategic and forward-thinking mindset. Ensure data compliance (including GDPR) and raise risks when necessary. Success Indicators Suppliers hold clean and compliant data. Your team is engaged, efficient, and delivers high standards of customer service. Stakeholders trust the data and trust you to keep it that way. Projects land smoothly, with the right data in the right place at the right time. Processes are leaner, faster, and more scalable. Commercial teams make better decisions because of the data you manage. Location Our head office is in Nuneaton. You’ll need to be in the office at least two days a week. Beyond that, we’re flexible – two days in the office and the rest can be home, a coffee shop, or wherever you get work done. Qualifications Experience managing a data admin function, ideally in a commercial or retail environment. A strategic mindset – you see the bigger picture and plan for it. Strong leadership skills – you know how to support, challenge, coach, and grow a team. Confidence working with systems (PIM/PLM, Excel, ticketing tools) and learning new ones. A knack for spotting inefficiencies and improving processes. Great stakeholder management – comfortable working across teams and levels and thriving on surprise and delight opportunities. A solid understanding of data compliance and governance. Experience balancing BAU and project work, with strong resource planning skills. A curious understanding of AI/ML and future-proofing initiatives to remove the need for humans to execute manual work. Benefits & Perks Salary that reflects your impact. Hybrid working – we’re in the office two days a week, while most companies are heading back to three, four, even five. 25% staff discount across our range and free online delivery. Pension contributions. Life assurance. Free wellness diagnostic tests. Exclusive discounts on wellness services, gym memberships, and more. Perks from other retailers – discounts, advice, and savings from brands you actually use. A culture of wellbeing – from mental health support to menopause coaching. And more – we won’t list every perk, but it’s more than just free fruit and a pool table.
