CHEFF (Cooking, Healthy Eating, Fitness & Fun) Community Outreach Worker - Part TimeA charitable company with a community vision, Centre West works to give residents a voice in the issues that matter in the Newcastle.Location:Newcastle, Tyne & WearSalary:£15,916 pro rata - Part time; up to 25 hoursA charitable company with a community vision, Centre West works to give residents a voice in the issues that matter in the Newcastle.Local people are at the heart of our work – our Trustees are local people and specialists with a passion for making a difference.We work with communities across Newcastle and now in Gateshead, typically in the more disadvantaged neighbourhoods, with children, young people and families.About the RoleAre you passionate about making a positive impact on individuals and maximising their potential regardless of ability or background?We're looking for a full time CHEFF (Cooking, Healthy Eating, Fitness & Fun) Community Outreach Worker to play a pivotal role in the CHEFF Programmes mission to increase access and participation in activities for adults and young people using three main strands; (i) physical activity (ii) nutrition and (iii) Community.The role will be up to 25 hours per week,the number of hours and flexible working pattern subject to negotiation.However, this role will require some after school hours.As a CHEFF Community Outreach Worker, you will be responsible for:Planning and delivering high quality food nutrition and cooking sessions to young people and families in community settings.Working with third sector organisations and stakeholders to enhance the development of the community programme.Provide safe, high quality, minimal cost, inclusive, accessible activities for all the familyUse physical activities to enhance knowledge of food educationProviding regular reports to the CHEFF Manager regarding outcomesFor more information please read the following:Please note: the role is an outreach post requiring travel and transportation of equipment, and therefore requires a full driving licence and access to a car. Mileage will be paid at 45p per mile for driving to and from venues during work hours.This role will be funded solely by income raised by the post holder. Therefore, you will be required to source and submit successful funding/grant applications with assistance from the CHEFF Manager, in order to sustain this post. #J-18808-Ljbffr
