Role - The Junior / Associate / Trainee Business Development Manager will be responsible for the sales of clinical solutions including, simple procedure packs and single use instrument, focused on Ophthalmology, ENT and Dermatology sectors - surgical environmentsthat are often day case / outpatient treatments (cataract surgery, melanoma removal, MAXFAX, Biopsy etc). The role will see the appointed person receive one on one training and support from a highly experienced senior leadership team and offer fast-track opportunityto move into a senior / established sales role with the company. With guidance and support the appointed person will be responsible for both new business and account management on their territory with significant focus on training clients and aligning themwith the company. There will be an element of in theatre sales and key contacts will include procurement, nurses, ODA’s and to some extent surgeons. Quite often the tools provided are predominantly used and specified by Nurse Managers and these "hands on"clinical professionals in the outpatient (and sometimes CCG space) make up the core customer base... The role is home based and will require significant travel and some nights away from home to ensure the territory is effectively managed.

Applicant -- Life science / business degree
- 18 months - 2 years sales experience in pharma / medical / life science (or B2B with Life Science degree) OR from a surgical / scrub ophthalmology background.
- Knowledge of NHS and private sector sales cycle is a must.
- Strong numerical, analytical skills to evaluate the commercial approach.
- Strong people skills to develop long-lasting customer relationships.
- Experience in utilising Microsoft office suite e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
