This is a hybrid role with 2 or 3 days required in the office for you to be able to collaborate with your team and meet with stakeholders when required.

**The role**

As the People Data Specialist you will play a key role within the People Operations (P&O) team, responsible for creating the foundation data required to populate our people system whilst maintaining our existing data. You will drive efficiencies and recognise opportunities for continuously improving our data quality and accuracy and highlighting areas for improvement to ensure a great experience for our people.

Operating as a key partner within the People Operations team, you will work with our P&O team, Retail Support Team, Finance, Business Development and Legal teams to ensure new businesses are created accurately within the people system with the required attributes in place. The role will also be a key interface between P&O and Technology ensuring any local configurations required due to legislation changes are implemented and vice versa for new system releases.

The role is fundamental in bridging technical and business specifications and skills together. The role acts to coordinate the movement of data as well as the corrector of data and so must understand and enforce rules on how data can be used and how data should be stored and maintained to improve the overall quality - helping the business report with clarity and remove barriers to leaders when making people-data based decisions.

**What will you be doing**
- Support with the maintenance of our position management structure and job families to reflect any future roles that are required within the business.
- Organising, auditing, cleansing and maintaining HR data in accordance with GDPR, ensuring compliance and security of the data at all times.
- Assist with the creation of our foundation data to accurately capture any new business/ department requirements
- Assist with the maintenance of our hierarchy data by creating and running a suite of exception reports
- Act as a point of contact for People teams globally for foundation data design, supporting them in making informed decisions about the data hierarchies that are adopted regionally.
- Working closely with Payroll and Reward to manage and implement activities such as bonus and annual pay review data changes.

**Experience**:

- Knowledge of the importance of data protection and security within HR systems
- Experience working with HR systems previously, employment tools such as SAP Success Factor, Workday or similar is essential with knowledge of how they integrate with Payroll
- Ability to handle and manipulate large and complex data sets
- An understanding of HR processes and previous exposure to HR data
- High level of data manipulation and ability to manage the data lifecycle
- Strong Excel skills and experience of handling confidential data sets
- Has likely acted as a ‘knowledge expert’ or ‘go to’ person in the past
- Experience of working in a continuous improvement environment
