Quality Technician
Location: Knaresborough

The Product Quality team,consisting of Quality Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors are an essential part of delivering this.
The Quality Technician plays an important part in the smooth running of the Quality Management System with the administration of product quality processes. Demonstrating a passion and enthusiasm for product quality, the Quality Technician supports with qualitycompliance and improvement through the organised, methodical administrative management of non-conformances. They work closely with the Quality Engineers to assist with non-conformance resolution through data capture, monitoring and verification, from the pre-projectphase, through the manufacturing lifecycle, site delivery and installation up to the point of handover to the customer.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the Quality Engineering Manager to deliver the product Quality improvement strategy
- Assist the Quality Engineers with the investigation of quality issues to identify the root cause and development, implementation, and validation of corrective actions
- Assist with the undertaking of Quality trials where necessary
- Collaborate with the Quality Inspection team to implement/improve the factory inspections
- Ensure all incidents of end-to-end non-conformance are accurately recorded
- Support a multifunctional team to review actions raised by external and internal parties relevant to products, system and specification and ensure all actions are completed in a timely manner
- Support with the investigation of quality issues to identify root cause and appropriate corrective action
- Support with continuous improvement activities
- Assist with cascading Quality improvements and lessons learnt to the relevant stakeholders
- Support with ensuring that the identified improvements are executed in accordance with the control process
- Support the adoption of Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) techniques, including risk-assessment, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Standard work and Process Control Plans (PCP)
- Assist the Quality Engineer with new product introduction.
- Assist ManEng with keeping SOPs updated, relevant and correct
- Be involved with the administration of product quality processes and procedures where applicable
- Support and participate in process improvement activities
- Support the adoption of digital solutions to improve efficiency within the organisation
- Support the achievement and maintenance of external accreditation & certification
- Be involved with the internal auditing of the Quality Management System, including audits of other departments

Do you?
- Do you have an Engineering or technical degree?
- Have a strong background in quality engineering/quality management
- Have experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Construction environment
- Have experience in ISO and auditing, with knowledge of quality planning, FMEA, APQP
- Have good communication and attention to detail

- A self-starter
- Good with time management and able to prioritise
- Proficient on using Microsoft Office package
The role
The Quality Engineer will take ownership of the end-to-end quality of schemes from the pre-project phase, through the manufacturing lifecycle, site delivery and installation up to the point of handover to the customer.
