This position is full-time and permanent. You will be covering 37.5 hours a week (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 8:30 - 17:00.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure internal audits are conducted according to annual audit programme.
- Play an active role in auditing suppliers and aiding the purchasing team in supplier selection.
- Review and develop competency assessment process of internal auditors. Coach and support internal auditors, arrange workshop or identify methods to improve auditor's skillset.
- Conduct internal audits as a Lead or a Support Auditor. Ensure audits effectively assess compliance against internal and external requirements, and audits are focusing on driving improvement.
- Determine and communicate the annual audit programme for all internal and external audits. Ensure risk-based approach, the needs of the growing business and external requirements are taken into consideration.
- Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirement.
- Communicate to and work with departmental stakeholder to address findings from 1st and 3rd party audits.
- Lead and / or support root cause analysis. Act as governance to ensure all matters are being investigated.
- Work with Process Owners to ensure actions resulting from audits are resolved effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner. Conduct verification before closing out findings.
- Oversee and manage the Audit Findings Register.
- Define, collect, and analyse data relevant to the performance of the quality management system in particular activities related to auditing.
- Collate and report KPI's on a regular basis. Communicate and escalate quality concerns
- Support the implementation and development of an integrated management system (ISO9001, BOPAS, ISO14001, ISO45001)
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality system development activities
- Take an active role in process mapping workshops for improvement, waste reduction and to ensure external requirements are being met.
- Support the Quality Manager and the Head of Quality in various quality activities to help developing a Quality culture throughout the organisation.
**Required training and skills**:
- Engineering or technical degree preferred
- Presentation skills
- ISO 9001 or similar auditing experience, knowledge of quality planning tools & methodologies including Risk Assessments, Process Control Plan (PCP), Problem solving skills, Six sigma or statistical process control techniques, capability analysis and leanmanufacturing philosophies, project management
- Minimum of 3 years in quality assurance role
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or construction environment
- Auditing to standards (ISO 9000 or similar)
- Experience within a start-up or rapidly expanding business is advantage
