Are you an experienced Category Buyer? Do you have experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment?

A business in Burton-on-Trent is on the lookout for a Senior Category Buyer to join their Procurement Team. The Head of Procurement has built a successful and efficient team and has further plans for growth and development. They also operate hybrid working(3 days in the office).

Day to day you will be responsible for the strategic procurement of your chosen categories. This will include but won’t be limited to:

- Supplier management and performance reviews
- Managing tendering process and contract negotiations
- Approving and onboarding new suppliers and achieving better commercial terms

Exceptional communication/relationship building skills will be pivotal for this role as you’ll be very supplier focused.
