Neo Property Solutions Limited is a recognised specialist in the provision of technically challenging passive fire protection solutions.
Our services include Fire Compartmentation Surveys, Fire Door Surveys, Fire Stopping and Fire Compartmentation
Works, executed as part of a rolling programme of annual inspection and/or rectification works required across multi-occupancy housing, buildings of public amenity, healthcare facilities, education establishments, student accommodation blocks and security sensitive office buildings and workplaces.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking to strengthen our team and appoint a Buyer, who will be based at our office in Burton upon Trent.
Responsibilities include:
- Securing supplies requisitioned from site to meet specification requirements and lead times
- Researching, selecting, regional and nationally based suppliers required to meet operational demand comprising repeat purchases and one-off specialised items
- Building relationships with internal teams and suppliers, negotiating terms and SLAs to achieve best out turn value
- Support the tendering process for new projects securing specification compliance for supplies on competitive terms
- Updating inventory and managing stock levels
- Supporting the team with additional duties including administration of plant, fleet, fuel, and tools
Essential skills:
- Commercially aware team player with strong negotiation skills
- Familiar preparing proposals to implement new initiatives and supply arrangements
- Effective IT skills, able to use and analyse data with experience of accounting systems, ideally Sage line 50 or 200
- Comfortable working in a busy office environment whilst managing competing priorities
The role will suite:
Team players with 2+ years’ experience gained within a buying role ideally within the services sector.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree qualified
- CIPS Level 3 or above
Remuneration:
This is a grade 6b Office Based role with the following benefits:
- Salary range £30,000 to £40,000 / annum
- Hours of work 08:00 - 17:00 (Mon to Thurs) and 08:00 - 16:30 (Fridays)
- Holidays 29 days holiday per annum (including 8 statutory holiday days) rising by 1 day for each year of service up to a maximum 33 days / annum.
