**Accounts Manager**
Pertemps Reading are looking for an **Accounts Manager** to work with an Alternative Design company based in Reading.
**As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for**:
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: Month and end year process, Accounts payable/receivable, Cash receipts, General ledger, Budgeting and cash forecasting, Revenue and expenditure variance analysis, Company assetsreconciliations and Debt activity
- Dealing with UK and US/International accounting in reference to clients
- Maintaining, preparing and submitting VAT returns, annual returns and PAYE Tax
- Data entry, record financial transactions, offsetting and balancing the books
- Working alongside Operations Manager with Payroll
- Work independently and challenge discrepancies
- Developing new processes and procedures
**To be considered for this Accounts Manager role, you should possess the following**:
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- AAT qualified
- At least 2/3 years' previous experience
- Very comfortable with using programmes such as Quickbooks/ Xero
- Familiar with more complicated transactions; offsetting, journal entries etc
- Experience within the Music Industry would be a great addition but not essential
