Smart Manufacturing Solutions are recruiting CNC Setter/Operator for our client within Stockton-on-Tees.

Reporting directly to the Production Team Leader, the CNC Setter/Operator is responsible for the following:
The production of high quality steel components via the operation of CNC Machining Centres, inclusive of:

- Setting and operating CNC machining centres to perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, milling, boring etc.
- Following part setup sheets, engineering drawings and clear working instructions
- Using overhead cranes and lifting equipment to safely load steel parts onto machines, and move them within the working area
- Safely using hand tools and grinders to aid the production of steel components
- Competently using CNC cutting tools, such as milling cutters, drills, taps etc.
- Completing daily pre-operation and TPM check sheets

Supporting first off checks and performing in batch checks as required, via the competent use of technical measuring equipment.

Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) practices at all times

Provide technical support to line management for incident and accident investigations and associated reporting and action closure.

Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them.

Identify opportunities for business improvements within the organisation.

Any ad-hoc duties as required from time to time by the Production Supervisor or other members of the management team

**Benefits**

£12.65 - £15.18 depending on shift

**Shifts**
- Dayshift - Monday to Thursday 6am-2:15pm, Friday 6am-12:45pm
- Backshift - Monday to Thursday 2:15pm-22:30pm, Friday 12:45pm-19:30pm

(20 mins cleandown for nightshift staff - required on occasion)

**Salary**: £12.65-£15.18 per hour
