Due to continued growth and development within a busy machine shop we currently require a number of CNC Setters.

Working across two shifts (6am-6pm and 6pm -6am across 4 days), you will be responsible for the production of steel components using CNC machining centres.

Set and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, boring, milling etc.

Understand specifications of the machining requirements through successful understanding of the part setup sheets, engineering drawings and working instructions.

Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines by hand or through use of overhead cranes, safely and as per standard procedures.

Set machines to pre-determined machining setups and tooling requirements.

Production of first-off sample, prepared for initial inspection.

Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result

Inspect and measure finished products, ensuring that the component quality requirements are met.

Ideally you will be apprentice qualified or displayable experience operating CNC Machinery preferable Milling.

Ability to work to engineering drawings is a must

Using Measuring equipment including Vernier’s and Calliper’s

Experience using overhead cranes/ or chain lifting equipment is preferred but not essential.

Hourly Rate £14.00 inclusive of shift allowance £644 per week

4 x 11.5 Shifts per week. (46 hours)
