**Responsibilities**:
Provide vital support to the Sales Team. Handle important administrative tasks, such as order processing, and act as an extension of the Sales Team when Sales Engineers are unavailable. To provide a point of contact for customers with queries about orders or deliveries. Contribute to quality customer service and help the Sales Team meet its targets.
**Job Duties**:
The Sales Administrator will be responsible for a whole variety of activities and projects ranging from (but not limited to);
- Responsible for processing sales orders via multiple channels.
- Check that orders include the correct information, discounts and product numbers and enter them into the company's computer system (processing card payments where necessary).
- Communicate order confirmations, acknowledgements and status updates to customers.
- Where information is incomplete or unclear, to either contact the customer to obtain, or reject the order back to the relevant sales person to resolve.
- Actively answer and direct inbound phone calls as a point of contact, or when frontline sales staff are unavailable.
- To maintain the momentum of delivery, place stock orders with suppliers (often via portals), record delivery time estimates, arrange customer collections and resolve basic queries.
- Maintain and update customer sales records.
- Assist the Accounts Department with invoicing, purchase ledger and other finance activity.
- Contact customers regarding completed orders ready for collection.
- Draw up price quotations as per Sales Team member requests.
- Training course co-ordination.
- Any other task or duty as is reasonably requested by your Line Manager, Senior Management or Director of the business.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Experience with administration in a Sales Office environment, or similar.
- Familiarity with order processing systems.
- PC literate and confident in MS Excel and Word.
- Excellent English communications skills and telephone manner.
- Good understanding of basic maths, percentages, and VAT.
- Process driven, self-motivated, and with a keen eye for detail.
