Position: Area Sales Representative - NORTH

Summary: This position is responsible for the market development and customer growth of our POPCAKE COMMERCIAL & ASHWOOD'S business within an assigned territory, through a combination of sales prospecting, sales presentations & proprietary equipment placement.

The role is remote based and reports directly to our Head of Sales – UK/Ireland.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
  1. Sales & Revenue Generation: Identify key opportunities, develop target accounts, establishing initial customer contacts, delivering over-the-phone, online & in-person sales presentations & product demonstrations with key decision makers (General Managers, Executive chefs, F&B Directors, Purchasing managers etc.) in the assigned territory.
  2. Closing the sale and placement of Free-on-Loan (FOL) equipment, coordinating the commissioning of the related equipment (Pancake machines, warmers, jam dispensers, honey displays) with our Customer Service Team, work with chefs and F&B operators on how best to present and use our products to maximize sales.
  3. Maintain relationships & annual growth in revenue with existing customers in the assigned territory.
  4. Achieve quarterly results in line with the Company's annual sales objectives & personal KPIs.
  5. Territory Management: Plan and execute sales strategies to maximize opportunities within assigned territory.
  6. Regularly visit customers and prospects to present and demonstrate products/services.
  7. Manage the sales pipeline, forecast sales, and provide accurate reporting to management.
  8. Account Management: In conjunction with the Customer Service team handle customer queries, concerns, and call outs promptly and effectively.
  9. Offer tailored solutions to meet customer needs to increase revenue of existing accounts.
  10. Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands in the region.
  11. Provide feedback to the management team regarding market conditions and opportunities.
  12. Administration and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics.
  13. In a disciplined manner maintain accurate customer data and record relevant customer contact activity in the Company's CRM.
  14. Provide regular sales & deal updates and report to Head of Sales.
  15. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer service & operations) to ensure alignment on company objectives.
  16. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and conferences as required.
  17. Other: Typical Customers: Marriott hotels, Hilton hotels, Accor Hotels, independent hotels & Hotel Management Groups, Airline Lounges, Education (Schools, Colleges), Healthcare (Assisted living) and all suitable foodservice operators specifically specializing in the buffet breakfast space.
  18. Networking within the Hotel, Hospitality and Food & Beverage industries, proactively using LinkedIn to develop relationships, build networks and drive overall business development.
Experience:
  1. Proven sales experience in a field or territory-based role.
  2. Experience in the related HoReCa sales field is advantageous.
  3. Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  4. Strong understanding of sales techniques and customer relationship management.
Compensation:

£32,000 - £35,000 base salary, OTE (with performance related bonus) of £45,000. Workplace pension contributions.
