Job DescriptionSenior Electrical Project Engineer - Renewable EnergyLocation: Glasgow SummaryDue to ongoing success and growth in the renewable energy sector, our client, an employee-owned high voltage electrical engineering company specialising in electrical power infrastructure, grid connections and renewable energy generation is looking to hire an Senior Project Electrical Engineer As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing the technical electrical design interfaces, technical procurement and production of quality processes across a diverse range of electrical HV projects in line with business strategy. Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Electrical project Engineer include: Provide exemplar project management throughout the project life cycle including internal and external resource to ensure project goals and customer expectations are metCommunicate with manage, mentor and coach project engineers, providing advice and guidance from initial concept to completionOrganising and attend all project briefings and meetings with all stakeholdersDeliver the commercial and financial goals of projects, agreeing initial budgets, procurement including competitive tenders from the supply chain and forecasting budgets for financial reportingHealth and Safety - Ensure project compliance with all health and safety adherence, including strategic meeting and planning of projects, produce RAMs as well as undertaking safety and quality auditsBuild and maintain relationships with our clients and supply chain partners. Provide liaison on design, installation, and commissioning. Attend manufacturers factory acceptance testsInspire and support the in-house design and engineering teams to generate equipment layouts, designs, cable schedules, testing, and commissioning proceduresOrganising the logistics of materials and equipmentWorking across all business function teams and stakeholders proactively provide support and guidance to all parties on compliance with statutory requirements and company standardsManage the interface between the businessand client, network operator commissioning and third-party engineersUphold a professional image, contribute to business' success, and proactively improve services and efficiencyEmbrace and demonstrate the Company's 5 core Principles of: PriorityNo.1 - Health, Safety and Well-being, Professionalism, Pride, Partnership and Proactive Senior Electrical Project Engineer Candidate Specification Minimum of 5 years' experience of project management and delivery within the electrical contracting or utility industry & ideally experience in HV SystemsA proven commitment to the success of the projects you undertakeAn excellent communicator and ambassador of the business at all levels highly confident in managing clients, contractors and third parties supplier relationsCommercial management of projects and financial forecasting as a minimum between £1-10 MillionExcellent planning and real ability to 'look ahead', whilst supporting business processesDegree, HND in Project Management / EngineeringExperience of managing large teamsStrong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English.Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team.Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays.Ideally have obtained or working towards professional registration with the IET at IENG / CENG levelHolds a full UK driving licence.Right to Work within the UK without limitation Senior Electrical Project Engineer BenefitsSalary: £70,000 to £85,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience plus fantastic package including: Company profit share scheme as a partner in the businessCompany contributory pension schemeCar allowance or company vehiclePrivate health insurance and healthcare cashback plan25 days annual holiday plus paid public holidaysFlexible working arrangementsGreat training and development opportunities To apply for this fantastic opportunity please get in touch for immediate consideration Navartis are an equality and diversity recruitment agent and employer.
