Your newpany Established in 2009, our client is a multidisciplinary consultancy who work across a wide range of sectors, including property development, construction, investment and divestment, industrial, manufacturing, engineering, planning, energy, architecture, and hospitality. They are seeking a collaborative and motivated Ecologist to join their expanding team in the North of England.Your new role The main responsibilities of this role will include:Leading a diverse range of habitat and protected species surveysProducing high-quality reports, including PEAs, EcIAs, and management plansProviding planning, mitigation, and licencing advice to clientsMentoring junior consultants and contributing to team developmentWorking with purpose-led clients across sectors such as infrastructure, energy, and developmentDriving innovation in biodiversity net gain, nature-based solutions, and ecological strategyWhat you'll need to succeed Minimum of 4 years’ experience in ecological consultancyStrong field skills, with expertise in protected species identification and mitigationExcellent report writing andmunication skillsFull UK driving licenceGoodmunication skills, both in-house and with clients.Experience preparing fee proposals.Experience undertaking risk assessments.Experience managing simple projects.Be able to manage and analyse data.Experience using GIS Mapping.What you'll get in return Flexible and hybrid working patterns25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)Exciting career development opportunities
