Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Specialty Training Registrar (StR) Lower in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed team in Blackpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to further their career in psychiatry and gain valuable experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical care and support to adults with mental health disorders under the supervision and guidance of senior psychiatrists. Conduct psychiatric assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Participate in the management and coordination of care for patients, including medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. Attend clinical meetings, case conferences, and educational sessions to enhance clinical knowledge and skills. Engage in teaching and supervision of medical students, junior doctors, and other members of the healthcare team. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and service development activities within the department. Requirements: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration. Completion of the Foundation Programme (or equivalent) and at least 12 months of experience in psychiatry. Demonstrated interest and commitment to pursuing a career in adult psychiatry. Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Enthusiasm for learning and professional development, with a willingness to engage in continuous education and training. Ability to adapt to the demands of a busy clinical environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
