With Workday Payroll scheduled to Go‑Live on 1st April 2026, this is an exciting opportunity to join the project team and play a key role in shaping the future of payroll operations.The RoleAs a Payroll Project Specialist, you will report directly to the Payroll Manager and be based at the Leeds Head Office, with hybrid working considered.Your responsibilities will include:End‑to‑end testing of Workday Payroll functionality, following test scripts and documenting ouesRecording testing activity using JiraAnalysing payroll results to ensure accuracy of payments and deductionsEnsuring all payroll transactions arepliant with UK legislation and internal policySupporting payroll parallel runs and BAU team activitiesCreating processing materials and SOPsActing as a Workday change agent, coaching and supporting payroll colleaguesContributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll service deliveryWhat You Will NeedProven Workday Payroll processing experienceRelevant payroll qualification – ideally CIPP qualified or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislationExcellent organisational awareness and problem‑solving skillsStrongmunication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationshipsAdvanced IT and analytical skills, including ExcelA team player with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressureWhat You Get in ReturnThe chance to be part of a transformational project with high visibility across the organisationHybrid working options for flexibilityProfessional development opportunities, including exposure to cutting‑edge payroll systemsThe opportunity to influence and improve payroll processes and service deliveryA supportive team environment where your expertise will make a real impact
