THE ROLE
Payroll Project Advisor – UK
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Payroll Advisor to be part of a transformative payroll project and support a range of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing our payroll operations and improving the overall client experience. This role will contribute to the upgrade and implementation of payroll systems, data migration, and process improvements across the payroll function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in upgrading the current payroll system, including testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of a new payroll system by supporting configuration, parallel runs, and go-live activities.
  • Support accurate and secure migration of payroll data from legacy systems to new platforms.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current payroll processes and propose improvements to streamline operations.
  • Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving the end-user and client experience related to payroll services.
  • Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of processes, workflows, and system changes.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on new processes and systems.
  • Providing operational support to the ongoing delivery team, including processing payrolls when required
  • Support the review, mapping, and redesign of existing payroll processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and scalability

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in processing UK payroll is essential.
  • Familiarity with BrightPay payroll software is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation is essential.
  • Previous experience supporting payroll-related projects, particularly system implementations or process change.
