About the Role As Business Development Manager, you will take responsibility for driving growth across the North of England by identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities. You will be the face of the company to prospective customers, promoting an extensive product portfolio and technical services while building strong, long-term relationships. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated sales professional with the commercial skills to win business and the technical knowledge to engage with customers across complex sectors. The key requirements for this Business Development Manager role are: Identify and secure new customer relationships including OEMs, CEMs and Tier 1 contractors Research and target new markets and applications for high-reliability components Generate and qualify leads through outreach, networking and industry events Arrange and attend customer meetings, product presentations and technical discussions Manage the sales pipeline, tracking opportunities and providing accurate forecasts Collaborate with internal sales, product and engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions Provide regular activity updates, KPIs and reports to senior management Experience required for this Business Development Manager role are: Proven success in B2B business development or technical sales, ideally within electronics or high-reliability sectors Knowledge of passive, power, interconnect or electromechanical components Strong communication and presentation skills with both technical and commercial stakeholders Ability to manage a regional sales territory and work independently Experience selling into defence, aerospace, rail or industrial sectors Background in electronics, electrical engineering or a related field Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including visits to company HQ in Mid Wales Package and Benefits of the Business Development Manager role: £55,000 base salary plus commission Performance-related bonus (5% of salary for achieving 100% of target, 10% of salary for achieving 110% of target) 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (increasing by 5 days after 5 years’ service) 37.5-hour working week with flexible working arrangements Normal business expenses package including travel, meals and accommodation Pension scheme and professional development opportunities
