Psychology Graduate – Learning Support Assistant This is an exceptional opportunity with Milk Education for Psychology Graduates looking to begin or further their career in education. You will work in a dynamic school environment, supporting children with Autism and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities This role offers invaluable hands-on experience for those pursuing careers in educational psychology, social work, or other related fields. You will provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to engage in their learning and personal development in a nurturing and structured environment. Psychology Graduate Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with Autism, learning difficulties and other SEND. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Promote students’ emotional, social, and academic progress through engaging activities and positive reinforcement. Collaborate with teachers and professionals to deliver inclusive teaching methods. Support students with personal care needs (training provided as necessary). Observe and monitor student progress, maintaining detailed records and reporting to teachers and parents. Contribute to a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes inclusion. Psychology Graduate Requirements: A degree in Psychology (or a related field) is highly advantageous but not essential. Experience working with children or young people with Autism or SEND is desirable but not required. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs. Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
