This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are eager to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.Whether your degree is in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Health & Social Care, Sports Science or a related field, your knowledge and passion will be valued and put into meaningful practice.About the Role As a Graduate SEN TA, you’ll be supporting pupils with a range of needs, including: Autism (ASC) Moderate to severe learning difficulties Communication and sensory needs Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs You’ll be working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to create a positive, nurturing environment where every pupil can succeed.Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support Assisting pupils with communication and emotional regulation Helping to deliver structured routines and personalised support plans Encouraging independence, confidence and social interaction Supporting sensory activities, classroom transitions and engagement in lessons Offering a calm, patient presence to help pupils manage challenges Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour This role offers invaluable experience for anyone considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, therapy, youth work or SEND pathways.Who We’re Looking For Recent graduates with a passion for working with children or young people Individuals who are empathetic, proactive and open to learning Strong communicators who can build positive relationships quickly Calm, resilient and patient personalities People interested in SEND, behaviour, child development or pastoral support A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one You do not need school-based experience—full support and guidance will be provided.Why Join This Specialist School?
