SEMH / Behaviour Teacher – Gateshead This SEMH teaching role in Gateshead is ideal for someone who brings both structure and heart.Pupils in this setting often have social and emotional difficulties, and they need a teacher who’s steady, consistent, and confident in behaviour support.The role involves: • Teaching small groups with high support ratios • Creating engaging lessons that reintroduce pupils to learning • Building relationships that help pupils feel safe • Implementing positive behaviour and trauma-informed strategies • Working closely with pastoral leadsWe’re looking for: • QTS with strong SEMH or PRU experience • Someone resilient and calm under pressure • A teacher who can see the child behind the behaviour • Someone who isn’t afraid to try new, creative approachesWhat we offer: • Weekly PAYE pay (£120–£220 per day) • Free behaviour and SEMH training • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant • Long-term placements with real progressionIf you’re ready for a meaningful challenge, let’s talk.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
