Just bring the right attitude, patience and a willingness to get stuck in, and the school will guide you through the rest.What you’ll be doing Supporting pupils in KS3 and KS4 with additional needs such as autism, ADHD and SEMH Working 1:1 or in small groups to help students stay focused, confident and engaged Learning how to adapt tasks, explain concepts and help pupils regulate their emotions Supporting teachers by helping maintain routines, structure and positive behaviour Building steady, trusting relationships with young people who benefit from calm support Growing your skills week-by-week with guidance from experienced SEN staff Who this role is perfect for School leavers, career changers or graduates who want meaningful experience Anyone considering future careers in teaching, psychology, mentoring or youth work People who are patient, reliable and enjoy working with teenagers Someone who wants a supportive introduction to SEND No experience is needed.
