Are you looking for school-based work with secondary aged young people?

We are currently looking for Level 2 or 3 qualified Teaching Assistants who have experience working with secondary aged learners who have special educational needs around Social, emotional, and mental health barriers. You will be expected to work Monday to Friday 8:45-14:45 and during this time you will support a designated learner on a 1:1 basis. The setting we are recruiting for is in the West of Newcastle and easily accessible. The setting is really friendly and well organised with a fantastic team who have a brilliant work ethic. We have several vacancies all offering immediate starts, all expected to be long term in duration.

**Minimum Requirements for applicants**:
Great rapport builder, calm, kind and pro-active
Enjoy working 1:1 with children who have significant barriers including Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges & low learning levels
The ability to help with academic work and tasks in a patient way
The ability to support alternative timetable activities
Excellent de-escalation skills
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant education setting experience
An enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS on the update service or be prepared to go through the process with us
Availability for at least six months
Good English and Maths ability

In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants.
