As a Critical Care Day Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients with critical and complex health needs. You will work in a fast-paced, supportive environment, providing expert nursing care, monitoring patients’ conditions, and ensuring their comfort and safety during the day shift. Responsibilities: Deliver and coordinate individualised patient care within the Critical Care unit, focusing on assessment, treatment, and monitoring of critically ill patients. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement and evaluate care plans based on patients’ needs. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Communicate effectively with patients’ families, providing reassurance and information on treatment plans. Contribute to a safe and positive environment by adhering to safety policies, infection control measures, and best practices. Requirements: NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult) with experience in Critical Care or similar high-dependency units. PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership with Disclosure Scotland or willingness to obtain it. Proven experience in a critical care setting with strong clinical and decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure while providing compassionate patient-centred care. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
