Job description SEND Teaching Assistant Primary Schools (Knowsley Area) Location: Knowsley Area Agency: Prospero Teaching Salary: GBP105 GBP115 per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible Supply The Role Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in the Knowsley area. These positions are ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. Roles are available on a flexible supply basis, with opportunities for long-term placements. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND Assist class teachers with the delivery of differentiated lessons and interventions Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom environment Support pupils in developing their social, emotional and academic skills Liaise with SENCOs and teaching staff to monitor and report on pupil progress Requirements Experience working with children with SEND in school or similar settings A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to learning support Strong communication and teamwork skills A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one) Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) are desirable What Prospero Teaching Offers Competitive daily rates: GBP105 GBP115, depending on experience Flexible working options to suit your availability A variety of welcoming and supportive school environments Free safeguarding training and access to CPD A dedicated consultant specialising in SEND placements How to Apply If you are a committed and compassionate professional looking to support children with additional needs in the Knowsley area, we would love to hear from you.
