If you enjoy helping pupils who need a bit more support to feel settled and confident, this role could be a brilliant fit.About the roleYou’ll work closely with pupils who have additional learning or emotional needs, helping them take part in lessons and daily routines. Every day is different, and your support will play a huge part in helping pupils feel safe and ready to learn.Your responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant  Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis throughout the school day Using agreed strategies to help with behaviour, focus, and emotional regulation Encouraging pupils to build confidence, independence, and positive relationships Helping create a calm classroom environment where every child feels included Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other staff to support consistent progress What the school offers A welcoming team who value collaboration and open communication Clear guidance and tailored support from experienced staff A nurturing environment where pupils’ needs are truly understood Training opportunities to help you grow in the role Requirements Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting A calm, steady approach to behaviour and emotional challenges Strong communication and relationship-building skills A genuine desire to help pupils feel safe and supported Why join Protocol Education?
