**Position: Junior School Teaching Assistant**

**Start Date: ASAP**

**End date: July (long-term position) (potential to be extended)**

**Monday to Friday**

**Hours: 8:30 till 15:15**

**Pay: £350 - £375 weekly**

A Junior School in Durham (DH1) are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school is made up of pupils aged 7 to 11 years. If you have experience in Education or are looking to expand your career, we wouldlove to hear from you.

Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting all pupils as either a 121 support, small group interventions or classroom support
- Working as part of a team to develop creative and imaginative learning techniques
- Be supportive of all pupils learning including pupils with SEN
- A pro-active approach to work that is adaptable

- Hold relevant qualifications at a level equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2
- Be able to evidence of specialism in specific curriculum areas or areas of learning difficulty
- Have knowledge of the requirements of the National Curriculum
- Have knowledge of behaviour management techniques that support school and classroom practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
