About the RoleWe are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading UK supplier of high-performance cutting tools. They are seeking a tech-savvy Digital Operations & Automation Specialist to support their digital systems, online channels and internal processes. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys problem-solving, improving workflows and using modern digital tools—including AI. Key Responsibilities AI, Automation & Process Improvement Review and improve manual processes across order handling and admin. Use tools like ChatGPT/Copilot to create templates and improve documentation. Build simple automations (Power Automate, Excel/Power Query, basic scripting). Support the Managing Director with digital improvement projects. Document new processes and train team members. Web Shop & Digital Channels Update product information, pricing and availability on the online shop. Monitor online orders and support prompt processing. Assist with UX improvements and content updates. Help schedule social media posts (LinkedIn, X, Facebook). Use basic analytics to report on digital activity. IT Support & Administration Provide first-line IT support to the UK team. Manage Microsoft 365 accounts and permissions. Liaise with external IT support on complex issues. Promote good cyber security practices. Maintain IT equipment and software records. Order Processing & Admin Support Assist with order entry and customer administration. Check pricing, product details and lead times. Keep customer and product records accurate and up to date. Contribute to simplifying order-related processes. What We’re Looking For 2–4 years’ experience in an IT, digital, operations or admin role. Confident with Microsoft 365 and general PC troubleshooting. Experience using automation or digital tools to improve processes. Interest in AI, automation and digital transformation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude. Organised, reliable and eager to learn. Desirable Experience Power Automate, Python, Zapier, Excel macros or similar tools. Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls). Experience with e-commerce platforms or business social media. Interest in engineering/manufacturing sectors.
