Job description Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a permanent SEN English Class Teacher to join SEN School in Oxfordshire. Required: SEN English Class Teacher (Permanent) Contract: Permanent, TTO – Term time only Location: Oxfordshire Start date: ASAP Pay grade: Main Pay Scale | M1 – M6 + SEN Allowance Key stage: Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 Hours per week: Weeks per year: Visa sponsorship: No Prospero Teaching are recruiting on behalf of a specialist school that provides high-quality education for pupils aged 11-16 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Many pupils have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs. About the Role · Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons across the curriculum (including your specialist subject area if applicable). · Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and personalised interventions. · Promote a safe, nurturing environment that supports wellbeing and independence. · Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families to provide holistic support. · Take responsibility for a class group as a Class Tutor. · Model high-quality behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies. · Contribute to whole-school development and share best practice. About You · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary or secondary education. · Experience working in an SEN setting, particularly with pupils with autism and SEMH needs. · Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, assessment, and best practice. · Creative, adaptable, and committed to meeting diverse learning needs. · A reflective practitioner with a growth mindset and excellent teamwork skills.
