Not to worry, Vision for Education offer the National Teaching Assistant Programme, a scheme that has been designed to make education more accessible to those without direct experience.So, if you have experience working with children or vulnerable adults and think you have the skills to make a real difference in young people’s lives as a trainee teaching assistant, our National Teaching Assistant Programme could be exactly what you’re looking for.The National Teaching Assistant Programme:Working alongside our client schools, we will provide the successful trainee teaching assistant with high quality training and paid on the job experience.Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills. You will be supported in deciding whether you’d like to work in primary, secondary or SEN provisions and will receive ongoing support from a dedicated and experienced consultant.Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, which will give you the essential skills you need for work as a teaching assistant.Requirements: Have experience in a care background working with vulnerable children or adults Hold or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS on the Update ServiceExcellent communication skills that would enable you to keep young people engagedA positive attitude towards learning About Vision for Education:The Edwin Group is a Top 10 UK-employer in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work.
