Hybrid Working Available after initial period.Job DescriptionPosition Overview:Accountant - Chessington, Surrey, Hybrid WorkingWe are seeking a proactive Accountant to support a fast-paced, growing, private-equity-backed organisation. The role sits at the core of the finance function and is ideal for someone who is confident with broad core accounting responsibilities and intercompany accounting.Reporting into the Finance Director, you will work closely with the UK and European Finance Teams and other internal stakeholders across Operations, Factory, Logistics etc Key Responsibilities:Core AccountingOwn and maintain accounting across multiple entities (4 companies within the group).Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany,Complete balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Manage intercompany accounting, across 4 companies within the groupWork closely with the finance, factory and operations teams in EuropeProcess Improvement & ControlsStrengthen the end-to-end accounting control environment.Identify weak points in accounting and process workflows and implement improvements.Investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and establish preventative controls.Cross-Functional Stakeholder ManagementWorking closely with and translating financial information for non-finance stakeholders to ensure good practice is followed.Operations, O&M TeamsFactory & Logistics TeamsFinance Team and Project Accountant in EuropeThe Successful ApplicantExperience in a similar roleQualified Accountant or Qualified by experienceIntercompany / Multi Entity experience is desirable but not essentialStrong understanding of debits, credits, month end process , full trial balance.Industry background in construction, engineering, project-based, or manufacturing environment would be beneficialStrong Excel and systems skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being able to meet deadlinesConfident communicating with non-finance teams.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with problemsWhat's on Offer£60,000 - £70,000 depending on experienceNon Discretionary Bonus25 days holidayPensionHybrid Working after the initial period, then it will be 3 days in the office and 2 days from homeFree ParkingClose to train station
