Job description Are you a qualified Level 2 or 3 EYFS TA who is looking for a new full-time role where you can have a lasting impact on the lives, progress and development of children in EYFS? If so, we want to hear from you today Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to support the learning of pupils in EYFS in one of our excellent Primary Schools in Bishop Aukland on a full-time basis from after October half-term. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils on a 1:1 basis and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development. About the Role: The role will involve supporting pupils within EYFS aged 1-3 both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The role will involve supporting pupils with SEND such as ASD, ADHD and SEMH of varying levels. Some pupils will also require support with their personal care. The role will also involve working alongside the Class Teacher to plan and deliver inspiring learning activities that are suited to the needs and learning style of pupils. A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this. The role will also involve supporting across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required. About the School: The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Durham. For the right Candidate, there is the possibility that the role will become permanent if the role is good mutual fit. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils. Pay, Hours and Contract: Pay – Between £88-110 per day Hours – Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract. Start Date – 3rd November Location – Bishop Aukland Experience/Qualifications and Requirements: A recognised EYFS Qualification (Essential) Experience of working with Children in EYFS An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff. Knowledge of the EYFS Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional references that cover the last two years
