TeacherActive is excited to be recruiting an enthusiastic, resilient and compassionate Behaviour Learning Mentor to join a friendly and supportive primary school located in Medway. This rewarding Behaviour Learning Mentor role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive—socially, emotionally and academically. As a Behaviour Learning Mentor, you will work closely with children who may present challenging behaviours, require emotional regulation support, or need tailored interventions to help them fully engage in school life. You will also collaborate with teachers, SEND staff and families to create positive behaviour strategies that make a meaningful difference every day. Key Responsibilities as a Behaviour Learning Mentor Support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagementImplement behaviour plans, restorative approaches and preventative strategiesDevelop strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage positive progressWork in partnership with teaching staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environmentKeep clear records of progress and communicate effectively with the wider pastoral team The Ideal Behaviour Learning Mentor Will Have Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or social/emotional needsStrong interpersonal and de-escalation skillsPatience, resilience and a nurturing natureThe ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staffA proactive attitude and willingness to be involved in wider school life What TeacherActive Can Offer a Behaviour Learning Mentor Competitive rates of payOngoing CPD and access to behaviour & safeguarding trainingDedicated consultant support throughout your placementOpportunities for permanent offers from the school All applicants will be contacted to discuss suitability and then invited to register with TeacherActive.
