Financial Controller/Company AccountantBelfast£50-55k negOur fast growing SME client who are privately owned and been trading for many years are looking to bring their full financial control in house. Currently their accountant prepares quarterly management accounts and a small team of administrators/finance prepare SL and PL on site.The sector they work in is Engineering and they have an excellent reputation both in the public and private sector.I want to share some information about the entrepreneur who set up and has grown the business to c6.5m. He is a dynamic individual who wants someone to work as part of the leadership team with him and help him grow the business. This newly created role will be forefront in assisting with commercial decisions whilst offering strong financial analysis.Key duties• Manage 2 – 3 in finance• Prepare financial accounts using Sage• Develop internal controls and procedures with a view to enhancements internally• Work closely with external accountants initially with the handover back in house• Prepare management accounts including KPI reports, project analysis, budgets, forecasting, labour costs etc• Liaise with financial institutions and build relationships with the bank and external advisors• Contract review and costings• Provide decision support to leadership teamThe ideal person• Able to work under own initiative and have excellent experience providing financial support to a growing business• Fully qualified accountant although Qualified by experience with a strong track record would be great too• Excellent IT skills and embraces technology• Proactive in your approach and want to get out into the wider business where you can add valueTo find out more about this role and the firm please reach out to Sara McKinty in strictest confidence.
