Lab Technician Milton Keynes £13.92 per hour Microbiology experience required Own transport required James Grace is currently recruiting for an experienced Lab technician to join a drink manufacturer in Milton Keynes. Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting scientific research and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations. This position requires proficiency in laboratory practices, quality control, and the ability to analyse data effectively. The Lab Technician will work closely with scientists and researchers to maintain laboratory operations and contribute to innovative projects. Responsibilities Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness. Observe the requirements as laid down in the Food Safety Act 1990 and Food Hygiene Regulations amended 2005. Perform quality control checks on samples and equipment to ensure accuracy of results. Document findings meticulously and prepare reports for review by senior staff. Adhere to all safety protocols and FDA regulations while working in the laboratory environment. Collaborate with team members on various scientific research projects. Experience Experience and understanding of GMP. Knowledge and experience of organoleptic techniques. Sound understanding of HACCP and Food Safety principles, ideally to at least intermediate level Benefits: Friendly team free on site parking Attractive rate of pay Clean environment Paid breaks Shift: Shift pattern days whilst on training then moving on to 4on 4off shift 6am-6pm The successful candidate may be offered a longer term position. Standard rate £13.92 per hour Overtime rates: £20,88 per hour
